After having to retire from ballet due to injury, Sharonne found herself in the world of Ballroom, and more specifically, Latin Dance. She began performing for various talented instructors and choreographers and after a few years found herself a home with Art in Motion Latin Dancers (AIM). For over a decade, she traveled with the company both nationally and internationally. She has also had the privilege of dancing on stage with several major recording artists including Giselle Tavera, Leslie Grace, Luis Vargas and Toby Love.
Sharonne earned her first World Championship titles at the 2014 World Salsa Summit. She won 1st place in the Ladies Team division with the Art In Motion Ladies Team, led by Liz Becerra, and won 2nd place with her partner Darlin Garcia in the Professional Bachata Classic Division. In 2015, she and Darlin became the World Bachata Classic Champions. They also placed 2nd in the Bachata Cabaret division and 1st in the Bachata Teams Division with Art in Motion Latin Dancers. More competitions followed with more team and individual titles and new ventures with a new style. In 2018, Sharonne and Darlin won 3rd place at the WSS in Latin Hustle and then won 2nd place in both 2020 and 2021.
In 2020, Sharonne started branching out more from AIM and doing more independent work. She started various online courses, including the popular "Ballet for Latin Dancers" and created a weekly interview show, "Women of Dance", that featured different female artists in the dance scene. She also reconnected with her former teacher & partner, Joe Figueroa, to collaborate with her on their breathtaking project "Casablanca. They also created content for his Living In Rhythm YouTube Channel. During that time, a partnership was formed with Rebecca Katz and Philadelphia Dance Connection was born.
