Sharonne Vinokurov is the Founder/Artistic Director of Prima Dance Company and a World Champion with titles for Salsa, Bachata and Latin Hustle. She has been a dancer her entire life. She took her first ballet class at 3 yrs old, performed on stage by age 4, and choreographed at 7. At 12 years old, she became a member of The Philadelphia Ballet Theater and by 17 she was a Principal dancer.

After having to retire from ballet due to injury, Sharonne found herself in the world of Ballroom, and more specifically, Latin Dance. She began performing for various talented instructors and choreographers and after a few years found herself a home with Art in Motion Latin Dancers. For over a decade, she traveled with the company both nationally and internationally. She has also had the privilege of dancing on stage with several major recording artists including Giselle Tavera, Leslie Grace, Luis Vargas and Toby Love.

Sharonne earned her first World Championship title with the Art In Motion Ladies Team, led by Liz Becerra, who placed first in the world in the Ladies Team division at the 2014 World Salsa Summit. In 2015, she became World Bachata Classic Champion. That year she and her partner, Darlin Garcia, also placed 2nd in the Bachata Cabaret division and 1st in the Bachata Teams Division with Art in Motion Latin Dancers. In 2020, Sharonne reconnected with her former teacher, partner & friend Joe Figueroa and their partnership took off starting with their breathtaking project "Casablanca", creating content for the Living In Rhythm YouTube Channel. She also started Women of Dance, a weekly interview show featuring different female artists in the dance scene.

Throughout all the years, Sharonne has never forgotten all the great teachers that helped her get to where she is today. Because of this, she strives to be an inspiration and mentor for her students. Whether she's teaching/coaching kids or adults, Sharonne always makes sure to emphasize the proper techniques to ensure a better outcome for her students, believing that a solid foundation is at the forefront of becoming a better dancer. Between that and her pure love & joy for dance, Sharonne is one of the most sought after dance educators in the area for people of all ages. She is so grateful to be able to do what she loves and share that passion for dance with others. "I am never more alive or more in touch with myself than when I dance. It's in my soul."
